Kerry
Mom to Evan Tyler
September 12th, 2010
Sarnia, Ontario, Canada

I was almost 36 weeks pregnant and had started my maternity leave a bit early to get the house ready for baby #2.  I had noticed a bit of lightening and a decrease in movement for a couple of days, but that's normal in the final months of pregnancy because the baby has less space to move, and I still felt the baby rolling and turning and at times it felt like he was stretching out in there so I just brushed it off as being normal. The Friday before he was born I went to Toys R Us to buy him an infant rocker and I remember while I was sitting on the floor at home putting it together that it seemed a bit easier to move around, I just figured it was the lightening you hear about as the baby begins to drop...

God bless. My name is Eufemia Barreto.  When I found out I was pregnant with my 5th child I was excited-- i already had 1 son and 3 girls, when I found out I was having another son I thought my oldest son is going to be happy. But I also found out that I had infection in both kidneys but I didn't let that stop me I took care of myself as best as i could.

Cyndi
Mom to Gabriel Benjamin
Stillborn at 18 weeks on August 12th, 2010
Orem, Utah

My husband, Ben, and I have always wanted a lot of kids and have been so thankful for the chance to be parents, especially after struggling with infertility before we had any. We knew for sure that we always wanted to have at least four, but were always open to more. After being blessed with our first four, two boys and two girls, we really felt like we were meant to have another. We prayed about it and knew it was right and on May 3, 2010 when our pregnancy test was positive after trying to conceive for only a month, we were so excited. We felt so blessed for the chance to be parents again to another precious child.

Mom to Hunter Joe
January 31st, 2011
Laurel, Maryland

I can honestly say that the day that I lost Hunter was THE worst day I have ever had in my entire life!  No exaggerations.  I was mostly numb that day, due to pain meds and preparing for it for almost a week.

Babs
Mom to Jack Marshall Haller
June 5th, 2007
Austin, Texas

The experience of carrying twins for six months had been extremely exciting for me.  Jack and Kate already weighed about one pound each and were starting to share their personalities in ultrasound videos. Kate was the athletic one and Jack liked to pose for perfect profile photos. They already had fingernails, hair and eyebrows. They could grip their hands, kick their feet, suck their thumbs and hear our voices. Just before flying to China for a brief work trip, my husband bought a belly band so he could place headphones on my tummy to share music with them.

Nicole
Mom to Caroline Elizabeth
Born Sleeping October 20th, 2010
Knoxville, Tennessee

I decided that I thought it would be a good thing if I went ahead and told my whole story.  Maybe sharing this will help me; maybe it will help someone else who is questioning God’s involvement in such a tough world.  If nothing else, maybe someone will learn that they are truly not alone.

Amber
Mom to Eli David Roseberry
Stillborn on June 17th, 2010
Olive Hill, Kentucky

The whole day on Wednesday, June 16th, Eli made little movement. I wasn't too concerned because I was 36 weeks pregnant with my second baby and this was the first time I had made it this far, I thought this was "normal" for this gestation. At 10:45 that night I felt him push his little butt up against the right side of my ribs. I assumed everything was alright even though I couldn't hear his heartbeat with the doppler (it picked up too much static). At that point I decided to take a shower and go to bed. At 11pm while going to the bathroom, I felt a pop and assumed my water had broken. When I looked down I was gushing blood and I knew something was wrong.

Ebony
Mom to my Precious Stillborn Son - Aubren
June 2010
Salisbury, North Carolina

My pregnancy was unexpected BUT exciting and highly anticipated. I had no real complications other than the fact that I had high blood pressure going into the pregnancy. The first 4 months I did not need medication for my HBP at all but then at my 4month visit my dr. wanted to see me back because my bp was elevated. At this point she put my on a low dose bp med for pregnant women experiencing hbp.

Sandra
Mom to Zachary
Born Sleeping July 8th, 2009 at 36 weeks 5 days
Montreal, Canada

When our daughter was about to turn 5 we decided that it was time for us to have another baby. We were fortunate enough to get pregnant the first month of trying. Everything was going great, no morning sickness, no complications, a textbook pregnancy. At our 20 week scan we found out that we were expecting a little boy and we were THRILLED!

Susie
Mom to Baby Wells, January 24th, 2003
and Avery Gayle Wells, July 13th, 2005
Tomball, Texas

In 2002 we decided to have another baby. My youngest of 2 had been such a handful that we waited awhile to have another. Nov 02 I stopped taking my bc pills. We figured we'd give it some time to get them out of my system and then aim for getting pregnant in January. We wanted an October baby!

Jeri
Mom to Ace
Born and Died July 18th, 2010
Colorado

After 4 years of marriage, my husband and I decided that we wanted to try having a little one.  We were both 37 at the time and figured our time was running out.  Surprise, surprise - I actually got pregnant right out of the gates and we found out on January 10, 2010 that we would be having a baby!  We saw the baby for the first time on February 12th at the first ultrasound and the doctor gave us an estimated due date of September 23rd.  We were both still a little stunned - but cautiously excited.  We decided that we didn't want to tell anyone about the pregnancy until we were into the 2nd trimester just in case something happened.

Caroline
Mom to Cale Harrison
June 28th, 2010
Columbus, GA

It’s hard to write this story. All the entries on this site are sad, but it’s important for others to know they are not alone. And while Cale’s story is a story of loss, it’s also story of love. While the ending is tragic I want people to know Cale’s story and know him as best they can. He was and always will be our first born son, our beautiful angel. His life, as short as it was, deserves to be acknowledged and celebrated.

 Lacie
Mom to Jack Conover
Stillborn on September 6th, 2010
Collinsville, Oklahoma

Jack Conover was stillborn at 31 weeks on September 6, 2010. Would I have ever thought it would happen to me? I didn't. I had a perfect pregnancy. I was healthy, hardly ever uncomfortable and no complications. Jack was stillborn due to a true knot in his umbilical cord. He was perfect in every way. His skin was so pink, he had a head full of dark hair, and the biggest hands and feet you'd ever seen on something so tiny! Sometimes it's still hard to believe what happened.

Jen
Mom to Harper Elizabeth
Born Still on August 10, 2010
Lena, Illinois
I was always the little girl whose response to the question "what do you want to be when you grow up?" was a mommy.

Andrea
Mom to Grace Olivia
Born still on March 19, 2005
Gilbert, Arizona

The Beginning:

Carlos and I met in California and dated for 9-1/2 years before he finally proposed. The whole time we dated we lived 120 miles apart. There were several times I almost gave up hope on us living in the same city let alone getting married but I hung in there because I knew he was the “one” for me. 10 years, 3 months and 1 day after we met, we were married. It was the most beautiful, happy day of my life. The week after we got married we moved across the country for his graduate school.
