Miranda
Mom to Seth Alexander
Stillborn September 29th, 2009
Early Miscarriage October 7th, 2010
Esegenoopetitj, NB Canada

So my pregnancy was pretty uneventful, besides the horrible morning sickness that I had the first few months. I did everything right, went to all my doctors appointments, ate right, didn't drink or smoke, and I went to breastfeeding classes and a few different prenatal classes just so I would be ready. I was attending university when I found out I was pregnant and I was due in November so I decided I would finish that year off and take the next year off to take care of the baby. So September rolled around, and I was sad not to be in school, but excited because in only a few months my son would arrive.

Jana
Mom to Carson Paul
Born Silently at 33 weeks 3 days on June 8th, 2007
Boise, Idaho

My story begins just after my husband, Jeff, and I got married in June 2006.  We knew that we wanted to start a family right away.  I was an elementary school teacher, so we wanted to wait to start trying until the baby would be born after I finished teaching for the year.  We started trying in October and were surprised and excited to get pregnant right away.  We saw our OB, who referred us to an MFM for extra monitoring due to my chronic high blood pressure.

Tara
Mom to Allison Hannah
Stillborn on October 29th, 2006 at 33 weeks 3 days
San Diego, California

In March of 2006, my husband and I got pregnant with our first child just a few months after getting married.  We were very excited.  At the 20-week ultrasound, we found out we were having a girl.  I was a tomboy growing up and hated girly things such as dresses.  I knew that I wanted to raise my daughter as an athletic princess.  She could play sports and be a ballerina.  My little soccer girl would be tough and graceful.  She could wear cleats and be comfortable in dresses.  She would be like me, and at the same time, not like me.  This was my dream for her.

Shannon
Mom to Xavier, missed miscarriage at 9 weeks, 5 days on September 19th, 2006
Blighted ovum at 8 weeks, 3 days on February 12th, 2007
and Tristan, lost to Placental Abruption at 33 weeks on January 21st, 2008
St. Martinville, LA

We started trying April of '06, right after we got married. We got pregnant 3 months later and I was so thrilled, but then fear set in as I started bleeding, and continued bleeding all the way to 10 weeks. I was placed on bed rest at 9 weeks to try and stop the bleeding and it worked. We went for our 12 week appointment to find out the baby had passed 5 days after the last time we had seen him. We found out our baby was a son due to genetic testing.
