Happy Thursday Everyone!

Just wanted to pop in and let you know about a couple neat things that are in the works at Faces:

1. Andrea has started a Friends and Family page, with information and resources specifically for friends and family of babyloss moms (and dads). Please check it out, pass along to those in your support group, and let her know if you would like to see something added.

2. Dana is working on putting together a calendar (located for now at the bottom of the site) that will be continually updated with loss dates, birthdays, unfilled due dates, etc, taken from the stories on the site. It would be great if we all checked the calendar every now and then, and took the time to send an email or e-card to each other on our important days. We all know our "real life" friends don't always think about these dates like we do.

3. We are in the process of creating Faces postcards for you to download, print, and distribute to your local hospital(s), OB clinic(s), and support group(s). Once finished, these will be available in the "Help Spread the Word" page

4. We have come up with a News Story Submission Template that you can tweek and submit to your local news station. [download the template here]. National Pregnancy/Infant Loss Remembrance Day on October 15th is coming up quickly, so the next couple months are great times to try and get our stories featured in the media. This is also located in the "Help Spread the Word" page.

5.  We have a new domain: www.facesofloss.com. The old address (facesofloss.blogspot.com) will redirect to the new one.

6. Tina, with Mama Mia Jewelry, who generously donated our last giveaway prize, would like to offer everyone a 15% discount on all jewelry orders placed today until August 10th! Enter the word "FACES" as a message to the seller at checkout, and you will be refunded the 15% via paypal after payment is made. Thanks Tina!

Okay, so that was a lot of info all at once! :)

We're really excited at how quickly Faces is growing--thank you so much for all your help spreading the word and getting our message out there. You are all amazing.

Xoxo,
Kristin (and the Faces team)

This is really great!!!! I like the calendar, that does make everyone feel like they will be thought of at one point or another. Feel free to take a look at the "Notes" tab on my FB and see if there is anything there you would want to share on the family/friends tab as well...

If we have dates to add to the calendar, is there a way to do that? Caleb's due date was September 3 and his angel date is April 12. And I was going to write that my birthday is August 31, but then I realized you meant our baby's birthdays since there are some stories of infant loss here...how jaded am I that I didn't even think of babies as having birthdays anymore??

Lara-dates will be added from the stories...so if you've submitted (and I know you have!), eventually those dates will be added to the calendar. Xoxo

Okay, maybe I'm daft, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how the heck to download the template. It keeps making me sign into my gmail account (which is fine), but then it just takes me to my email account and doesn't show any documents or templates. I even went to the templates and documents pages and couldn't find anything.

Help?!?
